PROJECT 2 - FIELD STUDY

21.01.19 - 25.01.19 (Week 3)

For this project, we are going to designated places to collect data relating to our proposed ideas in Kuching, Sarawak. For our group propose, we gathered evidence using observation, photographs, sketching and videos. We could find and observe "Sape" more in this location called Sarawak Cultural Village.

Afterwards, we wanted to see the hornbills in Sarawak but we can't because since it's a preserved bird, it was very hard to view one. There was one in Sarawak State Museum but sadly it was under renovation. We spotted museums opposite of it called Natural History Museum and Sarawak Art Museum. We found couple bird statues/ pictures in both museums.

We also found visited some other places in Kuching that would help our project :

1. Architecture : Kuching Waterfront, Fort Margherita, wall patterns on street
2. Textile : Textile Museum Sarawak, Tun Jugah Textile Museum
3. Traditional Houses : Sarawak Cultural Village

After we have collected our data, we compiled everything and put it in a presentation that we presented our data collection to the lecturers. In addition, we also included the ideas that we were planning to make. Here is the link:
